These peer support groups help students feel less alone and give them tools to cope with grief in healthy ways.
Groups meet once a week for six weeks during the school day and are led by a trained Healing House facilitator in collaboration with the school counselor or social worker. Through creative activities, discussion, and connection, students learn to express their emotions, share memories, and build coping skills.
This program is offered at no cost to schools and includes all necessary materials. In addition, Healing House provides professional development for school staff and grief response support in the event of a school tragedy.
